Judoka died of cardiac arrest during the 2022 National Universiade

judoka Mexican died during the National Universiade 2022 celebrated in Juarez City last Saturday, May 14.

David Alejandro Gómez Flores, student of the Bachelor of Administration in Organizations and representative of the University of Guadalajarasuffered a cardiac arrest during the competition.

The governor of the state of Chihuahua, Maru Camposissued his condolences via Twitter to relatives, friends of the young man.

“I deeply regret the death A hard tackle from David Alejandro to Gómez Flores, Judo athlete from the University of Guadalajara, who lost his life during the National Universiade, in Cd Juárez. I send my sincere condolences to family, friends and the sports community.”

For its part, the University of Guadalajara also posted its condolences on the same platform.

“In the udg_oficial we deeply regret the death of David Alejandro Gómez Flores, student of the UDGVirtual_SUV and member of the university judo team. We send our condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace.”
