Judo, Alessandro Cristallini silver in Lodi

Another success for the youth section of the Judo Poets on Saturday 7 May 2022 in Lodi, where the 2nd stage of the Italy 2022 Trophy took place, dedicated to the Beginners B class. Alessandro Cristallini, accompanied by coach Stefano Poeta, in fact won the silver medal in the -55 kg category, populated by 56 high-level athletes from all over Italy. Five matches were played very well, losing only the last one during the extra time of the golden score.

Cristallini went up this way on second step of the podium, excellent positioning that follows the excellent result he had brought home last April, when he won third place in the same category at the Italy Emilia Romagna Trophy in Riccione. Team mate Julian Ibekwe (-50 kg category) was less fortunate, after being defeated in the first match he was not recovered, but who is ready to start again and make up for it in the next competitions. Great satisfaction from the whole team of Judo Poets, who continue to put great effort into his work, believing in the youth sectors and demonstrating that the passion for this discipline allows you to achieve great results.
