Jessica Bautista gold in badminton at National University 2022 – El Sol de San Luis

Jessica Bautista, a student from the Monterrey Institute of Technology for Advanced Studies, won the San Luis Potosí campus (ITESM CSLP), the gold medal in badminton at National University 2022, hosted by Baja California Autonomous University.

The semifinals and finals were held in Nery Santos’ gym, where Jessica shed her own light by making her way to the final, already installed there and with full motivation, she had to face Paula Lozoya, from the campus of Universidad Anáhuac Cancún. , in a seeding duel one against two of the main chart.

The first set was a fair duel in favor of Potosina 21-13, but then in the second, which was dramatic, the Quintana Roo tied it 18-21. And in the third and final, Bautista came out resolute and did not let more 21-6 win and so keep the gold, the first for that institution.

It’s worth mentioning that an ITESM campus SLP student wins her second consecutive gold at the National Universiade, from which she will be a two – time badminton champion in women’s singles.
