Jan Vesely will be a FC Barcelona basketball player. As announced by the Turkish journalist Ugur Ozan, the 34-year-old Czech center and until now at Fenerbahçe will arrive at Barça with a three-year contract to fill in for Brandon Davies.
In recent days the negotiations with Vesely had intensified when it was verified that Davies was not going to continue wearing a Blaugrana, and according to the journalist, the agreement is complete.
Vesely will sign with Saras Jasikevicius for three seasons, with a net salary of 1,800,000 euros per season. The player, born in Ostrava 34 years ago and 2.11 tall, is an old target of the culé basketball section.
After three seasons in the NBA, where he played in Washington and Denver, the Central European pivot has played eight seasons at Fenerbahçe, with whom he has averaged 13.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game this season.
