Inter studies Lukaku’s return: “But it takes creativity” | Serie A

The Italian press already released news this morning about negotiations between Romelu Lukaku and his ex-club Inter. But during a round table in Milan, Giuseppe Marotta, the CEO, did not deny the story either.

The striker went to Chelsea last summer for almost £115 million, but had an unhappy first season after his mega transfer from Inter Milan. Inter is not in a rush. “We must not get carried away,” he said. “We’ve already done things. It takes professionalism and creativity,” he stressed.

The Italian team also hopes to attract the Argentinian Dybala. He is free to leave Juventus. “Obviously we hope he can play with us,” said Marotta. He did add – with a smile – that he does not know where Dybala will play next season.

At the request of the Italian press, he confirmed that Croatian winger Ivan Perisic will leave. “We regret that, but he wants an experience in the Premier League,” he said. “We were not in a position to make him a better offer.” The 33-year-old Perisic has been playing for Inter since 2015, with the exception of a year that he played on loan for Bayern (2019-2020).
