After 38 years, the court of the UACJ University Gymnasium has been remodeled and is ready to receive the teams that will compete in basketball, 3X3 basketball and indoor volleyball at the 2022 National Universiade.
The remodeling of the court included the installation of new basketball baskets, which arrived at this border yesterday morning to be placed in the building.
With a small event, the floor was inaugurated yesterday with the presence of university authorities, including the rector Juan Ignacio Camargo.
Guadalupe Salcido, player of the UACJ women’s basketball team, spoke on behalf of the athletes and thanked the university authorities for the remodeling of the facilities.
The first sport that this court will debut will be indoor volleyball. The first game to be played will be between the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos (UAEMOR) and the Vasco de Quiroga University (UVAQ) at 8:00 am, this in the men’s branch.
The UACJ women’s volleyball team will be the first from home to have action on this court. They will face UANL on the first day of the group stage starting at 12:00 pm, after that game the men’s indoor volleyball team will make their debut against the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS) at 2:00 pm .
The 3X3 basketball activity will begin on May 20, while basketball will begin on the 23rd of the current month.
