The Boston Celtics couldn’t count on Marcus Smart to face the crucial game against the Bucks last night. In the first match of the crossover, the base suffered a pinch in his right shoulder and aggravated his problems in the quadriceps. Ultimately it was the latter that prevented him from playing the second match, although Ime Udoka is confident that he will return for the third. “He has pain, but it is nothing serious. With three days off he will be available » pronounced by announcing that the point guard would not play.
Derrick White was in charge of replacing him in the starting lineup and, although he fulfilled his mission well, the Celtics will want to recover the main bulwark of their outside defense to arrive in Milwaukee. Since his injury, Udoka had already made it clear that the player’s intention was to play the match at all costs, and that he was only ruled out at the last minute. Celtics and Bucks will meet again on Thursday to tie the tie that right now is 1-1.
