Expos…

Frédérique Fleurance and Alexandra Serrano are exhibiting this Friday at the Exuo gallery in the Velpeau district of Tours (opening at 6:30 p.m.). And that’s until June 5th. Presentation: SOLOR* questions the relationship that Man has with Nature and other living beings, his place, the one he agrees or assumes. This four-handed exhibition literally takes “root” from the similarities that connect them, the modes of operation that bring them together, their common goals: to anchor, feed, grow and reproduce.

And then from this Friday also, a new photo exhibition at Atelier 9 near the Halles de Tours. Jean-Pierre Dubois presents his work until the end of the month (opening Saturday at 5:30 p.m.). Here is what he says about it: “For the shots that I take, I take the time, I linger on the ground, ‘on the zone’, and I try to put it all in a frame, to make the ordinary, the vulgar aesthetic. Faced with our ordinary environment, often a priori, insignificant, chaotic (a kind of non-landscape), putting in place a rigorous graphic construction… or vaporous… or even joyful, calms me down. (…) And I have the hope that the photographic negative will bear the trace of this state, of this gap which invites me to press the shutter button to ultimately deliver images. »
