“He has an advisor who turns his head”

Robert Lewandowski’s uncertain future has been causing unrest at Bayern Munich for weeks. While the 33-year-old Pole would like to leave the record champions early in the summer, the Bayern bosses are insisting on staying until 2023. Sport director Hasan Salihamidzic has now made it clear again that the striker has received a concrete offer and has rejected it. In addition, he criticized his advisor Pini Zahavi.

According to Robert Lewandowski, Bayern have not presented him with an offer for a contract extension. The Pole has also announced that he would like to leave the club, preferably as early as next summer.

Bayern categorically exclude this scenario. Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic also made it clear that the Munich team had made their star striker a concrete offer for an extension.

“We have the greatest respect for Lewy”

In the “SPORT1” double pass, he said: “In the talks with his advisor, we clearly made an offer. I can’t say what he then said to the player. But he clearly got an offer. We have made it very clear how we envision the future, also with a clear sum.”

The 45-year-old also criticized Lewandowski advisor Pini Zahavi for his approach: “That’s why I’m surprised what the advisor says. I would never wear something like that outside. He received a clear offer with a term and a sum on the way. He has an adviser who turns his head.”

In addition, the Bosnian denied the reports that Bayern Lewandowski held out: “We have the greatest appreciation for Lewy. FC Bayern has always behaved correctly.”
