Gravelines-Dunkirk seduced by Matthieu Gauzin

In the midst of a recruitment campaign for the 2022-2023 season, the BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque would like to bring in the leader / rear Matthew Gauzin (1.91 m, 21 years old) according to our information. The latter has just left Le Mans Sarthe Basket, a club where he completed his studies in a training center as well as his first adventure in the professional world. Loaned to Champagne Basket in 2020-2021, he returned to MSB for this 2021-2022 season. The Berruyer had a very good end to the year there, but this did not allow his team to qualify for the playoffs, despite a balanced record (17 wins, 17 losses). He finished with statistical averages of 6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists for 5.5 rating in 17 minutes.

If he were to sign at the BCM, Matthieu Gauzin would already be the third locally trained player (JFL) in the maritime workforce, after Romuald Morency and Vafessa Fofana. We can imagine that Fabien Damase, turned professional in 2021 but little used, will be loaned to him to be able to assert himself among the professionals.
