Goyang-si Seongra Picnic Center will open on the 23rd in a situation where citizens’ demand for outdoor picnics is increasing after social distancing is lifted. It is the second public picnic area to be built after the Daehwa-dong Citizens’ Picnic Center.

Seongra Park, established in 1995, is the second largest park in Goyang City after Ilsan Lake Park with an area of ​​570,000 square meters. There are two badminton courts, tennis courts, and children’s play facilities in the park, and cultural and sports facilities such as Goyang Eoullim Nuri and soccer fields are located around the park.

The Seongra Picnic has a capacity to accommodate 140 people. There are 35 picnic tables, a manager and a toilet, and a tea garden where you can enjoy the park view, a design retaining wall that harmonizes with the slope, and two CCTVs to ensure the safety of users.

Goyang City plans to test-operate Seongra Picnic by the end of June, and from July to receive reservations through the Goyang City Integrated Reservation System so that citizens can use it in earnest.
