The State Secretary for Sport and Volunteering, Andrea Milz, today (May 31, 2022) announced further funding measures as part of the “Modern Sports Facility 2022” program. More than 2,500 sports clubs from all over North Rhine-Westphalia are already benefiting from the unique funding program for sports facilities. The tennis club Heide Blau-Weiß Fuhlen-Brock eV, the TC Vfb Kirchhellen eV, the rowing community Bottrop eV, the association for physical exercise Grafenwald 28/68 eV and the sports and hunting club Bottrop eV also receive financial means.
For the modernization of the tennis facility of the Heide Blau-Weiß Fuhlen-Brock eV tennis club, the state is providing subsidies totaling 11,613. euros out. The TC Vfb Kirchhellen eV can also reactivate its tennis court 8 with a sum of 14,167 euros.
The Rowing Community Bottrop eV received a subsidy of 27,000 euros for the installation of a floating dock. With 22,925 euros, the modernization of the lawn area of the association for physical exercise Grafenwald 28/68 eV is funded. The Sport- und Jagdschützenclub Bottrop eV can look forward to 114,750 euros, the support is for the conversion of a bunker floor for use as a shooting range.

We have set ourselves the goal of making a noticeable contribution to the modernization of our sports facilities in North Rhine-Westphalia We have succeeded in doing this with this funding program. Now we can significantly reduce the renovation backlog.”
The “Modern Sports Facility 2022” program supports investment measures for the modernization, repair, renovation, equipment, development, conversion and replacement of sports facilities and facilities. A total of 300 million euros are available as part of the “Modern Sports Venue 2022” program.
