It’s wonderful news and the whole tennis world (and not only them) is happy mt. Gaël Monfils and Elina Switolina, the dream couple of world tennis, are expecting their first child together.
“October kids are the best”
“It is with hearts filled with love and happiness that we are delighted to announce that we are expecting a daughter in October,” the couple shared on Instagram. After the wedding in July 2021 in Geneva, her happiness now seems perfect. Much to the delight of the tennis world.
“Many congratulations. Enjoy this wonderful moment,” wrote Belinda Bencic. “Congratulations. October children are the best,” commented Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka (birthday in October) with a wink.
Svitolina suffers from the war
Switolina has not participated in any tournament on the WTA Tour since March. The Ukrainian suffers greatly from the war in her homeland. Most recently, she sharply criticized those responsible for the WTA and ATP and demanded that all Russian players be excluded from the tournaments. “I don’t have the feeling that they understood us correctly,” she told “Figaro”.
