French pair Gicquel-Delrue lose again in mixed doubles

They fought but the step was too high for the French duo Thom Gicquel-Delphine Delrue who lost against the Thais Puavaranukroh Dechapol and Taerattanachai Sapsiree in their second pool match of the Tokyo Olympics (21-9, 21 -15) at Musashino Forest Sports Plaza.

10th in the world, the French lost quite heavily in two sets against the second pair in the world, whom they had only managed to beat once in three games before. The tricolors fell on stronger than them despite their tenacity and their desire to react in the second round, more hung.

After losing their first group match on Saturday, the French pair are on the verge of elimination since only the first two teams out of four are qualified for the rest of the competition. There is only one pool match left for the two residents of Insep against Canadians Joshua Hurlburt-Yu and Josephine Wu, whom they have never met before.
