French Open: This is Jil Teichmann’s health

There is never a good time for an injury. For Jil Teichmann (WTA 24), the injury came at the worst possible time. After her sensational semi-final entry in the Masters tournament in Madrid, her run in the Rome 1000 was slowed down in the quarter-finals – so shortly before the French Open. But there is good news for the Seelander.

Teichmann had to give up against Daria Kassatkina (WTA 20) in the second set with a bandaged thigh. The adductors got it. “When I felt in the last match that the muscle was causing more and more problems, I knew that it wouldn’t be enough that day,” she told Blick.
