French Open 2022: Carlos Alcaraz wins against Sebastian Korda with a great show and is in the round of 16

“It was great fun. I’m enjoying it here,” said the Miami winner, who now meets Olympic silver medalist Karen Khachanov from Russia (No. 21) in the round of 16, who went 6-2, 7-5, 5 :7, 6:4 against Cameron Norrie (Great Britain/No. 10).

In the quarter-finals, the 19-year-old could then meet Alexander Zverev (after beating Brandon Nakashima now in the round of 16 against outsider Bernabé Zapata Miralles/Spain).
Alcaraz presented himself in top form against Korda after almost failing in round two against his compatriot Albert Ramos-Viñolas (6: 1, 6: 7, 5: 7, 7: 6, 6: 4) – including a match point saved.
