After a long break from competition due to corona, judoka Elke and Uli Bröckel competed in their first competition of the year last weekend. They started at the Dieter Born Tournament in Bonn and were able to secure first place in a field of eight Juno Kata pairs. The reward for the successful training was a medal in the format of a Japanese tori. In addition to German athletes from many national associations, couples from Luxembourg also took part. The competition and the subsequent course was a good prerequisite for participation in the German Kata Championships, which will be held in Hamburg this year on the last weekend in May. There are only three weeks of training left until then.
