Exactly Bringing ‘Destroyer’ Midfielder, Persita Welcomes Two Papuan Players

Persis Solo introduced their second signing for the 2022/23 season, having previously inaugurated veteran striker Samsul Arif Munip.

The player who is officially part of Laskar Sambernyawa is midfielder Taufiq Febriyanto, who last season defended Persita Tangerang.

Taufiq has a role as a defensive midfielder, and often destroys the opponent’s attack. He has experience with Persik Kediri and PSS Sleman.

“Of course, the playing character of each player is different. The character I already have, I will try to make the best use of it and give it to Persis. The rest is for strategy and game schemes, let the coach manage,” said the original Solo player.

Persita presents four new faces, two from Papua

It’s no secret that Alfredo Vera admires Papuan talent. That is what Vera brought to Persita Tangerang in the upcoming 2022/23 season.

The two new players introduced by the Swordsman Cisadane were from Papua, namely Oktovianus Oskar Karisago as a forward, and Yohanes Kandaimu, a central defender.

Last season Okto played in Liga 2 with Persewar Waropen, while Yohanes was a former PSBS Biak player. Apart from the two players, there is also Rifqi, who is also a central defender.

They officially brought Marcos Gonzalez from Argentina. Indonesian football is no stranger to Gonzalez, because he has worked for Borneo FC, up to Arema FC.
