ZACATECAS. Based at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (UACJ), from this Thursday until June 5, the 2022 National Universiade will take place, where the Autonomous University of Zacatecas (UAZ) will participate in various disciplines.
Association Football, Taekwondo, Athletics, Karate Do, Weightlifting, Boxing, Judo and University Wrestling, will be the disciplines in which the students of the highest house of studies in Zacatecas will be measuring themselves with the best university athletes in the country.
The activities of the Zacatecans will begin on Thursday, May 12 with judo, where Jesús Eduardo Pérez Troncoso will participate, in the 60 kilogram division; Diego Francisco Pérez Troncoso in the 66 kilograms; and Tania Márquez Ramos in the 78 kilograms.
The actions of the university students in the discipline of athletics and taekwondo will continue on Monday, May 16; for athletics, the representatives will be José Luis Domínguez Frausto, in the 10,000-meter dash, and Rocío Torres Gómez, in the 1,500-meter dash.
In taekwondo, Óscar Alejandro Perales Soto will be competing in the body division, 80 kilograms; Jorge Galaviz Canel, in 87 kilograms; Ivonne Alejandra Perales Soto, in 57 kilograms; and France Itzel Sagredo Martínez in 62 kilograms.
On Friday, May 20, activities resume for the UAZ with karate do; on Saturday May 28 will be the association football matches; On Wednesday, June 1, the university wrestling participants will see activity, while on Thursday, June 2, it will be the turn of boxing, to close on Friday, April 3, with weight lifting.
