Empoli rewards sport The winners of Aramini – Chronicle

From the little star of the padel Vittoria Giraldi to the sporting director of Empoli Pietro Accardi, from the 50 years of the Polisportiva Santa Maria and of Judo Kodokan to the company of the brigde company. Empoli returns to reward its excellence in the sports field on the occasion of the 2022 edition of the Albano Aramini award, named in memory of the historic councilor for sport. The winners, elected by a specialized jury, were made official yesterday and after two years of pandemic they will return to receive the award in attendance, even if the date has yet to be made official.

In the first section, for the best results achieved at the promotional level, the Polisportiva Santa Maria and the Judo Kodokan Empoli win: both have crossed the milestone of half a century of activity. In the second section, the sports club that achieved the best result at a competitive level, the Empoli Bridge wins: 2021 was a year of success for the team that achieved important results at all levels, winning the Serie B, in Salsomaggiore , earning promotion to Serie A in the Open team championship and still winning the title of champion of Italy in the first year students category. In the third section, the athlete who has achieved the best result at a competitive level, wins Vittoria Giraldi (Padel Villanuova), who has become Italian Under 16 and Under 18 champion and Tuscan team champion.

An award also to Pietro Accardi, Empoli’s sporting director, as a character from Empoli who for sporting merits has contributed to spreading the image of the city. In the fifth section, for the promotion of sport at a social level, Centro Ippico Empolese wins, while in the sixth section, the journalist prize ‘Antonio Bassi’, the journalist Alessandro Lippi, for almost thirty years the historical face of local TV, will be awarded. Moreover, also for this edition, a special mention has been decided. He goes to Peragnoli Auto and Maxismall for donating football uniforms to a group of foreign boys who, by making an appointment every Sunday in the gardens of the Casenuova hamlet, have given life to a sort of ‘championship’ in the open air. Finally, awards also for two historical figures of Empoli sport: Fabrizio Corsi and Renzo Maltinti.
