Eight victories in a row: Lille can’t stop Monaco and Philippe Clement either

The Monaco of coach Philippe Clement on Friday on the 36th match day of the French Ligue 1 won 1-2 at Lille, where Amadou Onana was kicked off. The Monegasques already booked their eighth league win in a row.

Shortly before the break, Aurelien Tchouameni (42.) gave Monaco the lead, in the middle of the second half Angel Gomes (69.) equalized. Lille was unable to keep pace for a long time, as Tchouameni (75.) scored again to decide the game in favor of the visitors. Eliot Matazo remained on the bench at Monaco, which jumps to second place over Marseille for the time being. That second place entitles you to a direct ticket for the Champions League, while number three still has to play preliminary rounds.
