It was Victor’s day on the Rinkven International GC course in Antwerp, Belgium. Victor Dubuisson, back in the game this week after almost four months of absence, signed a remarkable 68 (-3) to move up to 21st place in the standings at -4 total. Same score of -4 for the other Victor, Perez. The best current French player signed a second card of 69 (-2). The two men are only four shots from the lead, occupied by Matti Schmid, Dale Whitnell and Sam Horsfield, of a very tight tournament.
Five French people this weekend
They will be five French in all to play this weekend with Raphaël Jacquelin (-2), who confirms his current good form. Same score for Robin Roussel, also at -2. Julien Guerrier is a shot behind at (-1). Bad luck on the other hand for Mike Lorenzo-Vera and Joël Stalter, who miss the cut by one point with a total in par. Frédéric Lacroix (+2), Clément Sordet (+2), Antoine Rozner (+4), Grégory Havret (+4), Jean Baptiste Gonnet (+4), Benjamin Hébert (+9) did not qualify.
La sensation Grinberg
At 14 years 6 months and 6 days, Ukrainian Lev Grinberg (-3) became the second youngest player in history to make a cut on the European Tour. Born in Ukraine but playing at home on his career, Grinberg is living a daydream after adding a 69 (-2) to his 70 the day before which places him in 29th place: “ I played amazing. I can’t wait to play again on Saturday and Sunday. My goal is to get into the Top 10 this weekend by making as many birdies as possible. It’s crazy because I usually play with my friends and here I play with the best Europeans. I hope to continue breaking records. »
