INDOSPORT.COM – PSIS Semarang once again secures one local talent ahead of Liga 1 2022/23. This time, the Mahesa Jenar team extended the contract of former PSMS Medan playmaker, Rachmad Hidayat.
PSIS Semarang agreed to work together again for League 1 next season, after Rachmad Hidayat performed quite well in the second round of Liga 1 2021.
His contribution was considered quite positive and was able to make a difference in the League 1 competition last season.
The 31-year-old midfielder was originally brought in from PSMS Medan in the middle of last season. Rachmad played 14 matches with a record of one goal and one assist.
“In this still fitri atmosphere, we officially extend Rachmad Hidayat’s contract for Liga 1 next season,” said PSIS CEO Yoyok Sukawi in a club release.
“In yesterday’s competition, Rachmad played quite well so we consider it still feasible to return to filling the PSIS front line,” he added.
The offer of a new contract was warmly welcomed by Rachmad Hidayat. The former Persija Jakarta stated that he was proud to be able to defend PSIS, which is a legendary club.
