Daniel Vogelbach tried to mark, hilarity followed – cosmo-polis.ch

The Chicago Cubs have shut out the Pittsburgh Pirates for two straight nights at Wrigley Field. The closest home plate visitors came to last night was in the fourth inning when Daniel Vogelbach – blessed with so much but not top speed – attempted to score with a flyball against right fielder Seiya Suzuki. Which didn’t go well at all as the ball hit him by a wide margin and didn’t let Willson Contreras Vogelbach within reach of home plate. A very bad idea that manifested one of the funniest moments of the Major League Baseball season and caused the benches to empty.

Baseball. The beautiful game. Where else can you see a big man sprint to 80 feet and they crash into a brick wall, totally defeated? And who doesn’t like to see it?
