Alessandro Dalla Salda, managing director of Pallacanestro Reggiana, has been appointed head of the delegation of the Under 20 national team for the next European Championships to be held in Podgorica (Montenegro) from 16 to 24 July. “The national team, as for all sportsmen, is always the best regardless of the category – commented the manager from Reggio who will turn 54 in June – then I thank the president of the federation Gianni Petrucci (in the photo with Dalla Salda himself) and the director Salvatore Trainotti in the national team sector for their trust. The manager from Reggio Emilia will therefore (also) hold high the banner of a club like our home club which has actually always stood out for its sensitivity and ability to launch so many talents on the big stage and therefore also in blue. From Montecchi to Basile, from Melli to Cervi, up to the more ‘recent’ Momo Diouf who has also been called up several times by coach Meo Sacchetti in the senior national team. Dalla Salda will therefore have the opportunity to put his experience at the service of the expedition led by coach Alessandro Magro, technician of Leonessa Brescia. The brightest stars of the expedition could be those of Matteo Spagnolo, playmaker owned by Real Madrid this year on loan to Cremona, and Gabriele Procida winger at Fortitudo Bologna.
