COMMENTARY. “This Antwerp seems to have only one European lifebuoy left: AA Gent”

The worst home defeat in almost twenty years. And that just in a ‘final’ in full Champions’ play-offs, with the third place at stake. Disastrous. Unfortunately we have to forget all the good things we saw against Club Brugge and Union. Anderlecht made it painfully clear to Antwerp in their own Bosuil that only they can and can currently claim that third place. And the Great Old? Revenge Thursday? Or start hoping out loud that AA Gent will win the Europe play-offs, in order to be sure of European football.
