Today the first gold medal fell for the sports delegation of the University of Colima, at the 2022 National Universiade that takes place at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez. The medal was obtained by Javier Martínez, a student at the Faculty of Architecture, in the 200 meter dash of the Athletics discipline.
Javier Martínez participated in the 100 meter dash yesterday, where he did not have the same luck and finished in sixth place. His strongest test is the 200-meter dash, a test in which he endorsed his position in the national ranking, finishing the competition in first place.
With this, there are now three medals for the UdeC, one of each metal: silver in judo, bronze in the 20,000-meter walk, and gold in the 200-meter dash.
