Venezuelan basketball is very well represented in the Colombian Professional Basketball League or Wplay.co League, and a clear example of this is the good result obtained by the Cafeteros de Armenia team, which placed just one game away from reaching the great final of the Colombian championship.

The team from the north center of Colombia has three Creole players in its ranks, along with its coach, Manuel Berroterán. After having won the first match of the semifinal against Bucaros, Cafeteros repeated the formula and won the second match of the series against Bucaramanga, by a score of 96 to 76.
At the match the three criollos from Cafeteros were present in the offensive scoreboard. The best scorer of the three was Fernando Lucena who finished the game with 14 points and 4 rebounds; He was followed by Jesús “Torta” Martínez who finished with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bucaros de Bucaramanga dominated Cafeteros during the first half, beating them 44-37. However, in the second half Berroterán’s team woke up offensively and won the game by a score of 55-32, leaving the game with a final score of 96-76. .

The next match of Cafeteros de Armenia against Bucaros de Bucaramanga will be next Monday, May 30, where the Berroterán team will go for a victory that will take them to the final of the tournament, where they can face Titanes de Barranquilla or Team Cali.
