China advanced to the quarterfinals after beating Spain 5-0

The Chinese women’s team advanced to the quarterfinals after two straight group stage wins, beating teammates Spain 5-0 at the BWF Thomas and Uber Cup on Monday in Bangkok, Thailand.

In the opening match, China beat Australia 5-0 and were in perfect form.

As reigning champions, China won gold in the competition, a total of 15 gold medals in history. China beat Japan 3-1 in Denmark last year.
