Cheongsong-gun has recently succeeded in hosting various sports competitions across the country, revitalizing the local economy.
More than 1,000 athletes and their families visited Cheongsong for the national badminton championships held at the Cheongsong National Sports Center from the 5th to the 16th.
Since last month, the national high school football league started in Cheongsong, and not only local accommodations but also tourist attractions are crowded. The league runs until November.
As a result, it is not only revitalizing the stagnant local economy, but also enhancing the city brand image of Cheongsong.
In the future, various competitions such as the 31st national middle and high school kendo contest during the president’s period, the 5th national elementary school kendo contest during the military period, and the Cheongsong Apple Trail Run are scheduled to have a greater impact on the local economy.
Park Dong-hee, head of the culture and sports department in Cheongsong-gun, said, “We will do our best to make sure that various competitions are not just sports competitions, but also bring about synergy effects with tourism and economy, which will be of practical help to the region.”
