Sparta will fly to the Nordic countries three times: Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Luleå won the first year of the Champions Hockey League, this year she finished second in the Swedish league. The duel with Jukurit, where the Kovařčíková brothers moved, will also be very interesting.
Hradec Králové, the winner of the basic part of the Tipsport extra league, also secured the right to play in the Champions League. Mountfield is looking forward to comparing forces with Frölund, the four most successful club in the history of the CHL.
The highest Czech team involved in the CHL draw was Třinec, it belonged to the first performance basket. Skellefteå, Davos and Belfast became his rivals.
So far, the biggest successes of domestic clubs are the final participations of Sparta (2016/2017) and Hradec Králové (2019/2020). The competition is dominated by Swedish clubs, which have won six of the seven years. Only the Finnish Jyväskylä interrupted their dominance.
