The Remedios de Ourense Sports Center hosted last Saturday the traditional Junior Judo Spanish Cup, qualifying for the 2023 Junior Spanish Championships and being part of the National teams. More than 150 participants gathered in the Galician city from different parts of Spain and Portugal.
Carla Mateos, the athlete from Santiz and belonging to the Zarza Sports Club, was proclaimed champion in the 52-kilo category, winning all her fights with superiority before the limit for the maximum score.
The next qualifying Spanish Cup will take place on June 18 and 19 in Cáceres in which the judoka from Salamanca will be present.
