BOLASPORT.COM – British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has criticized Jurgen Klopp for saying Liverpool fans had reason to boo the England national anthem during the 2021-2022 FA Cup final.

Previously, the German coach defended Liverpool supporters for denouncing England’s national anthem and insisting they were extraordinary people.

“Of course I have thoughts, but in this situation, it is best to ask the question, ‘why did this happen?’,” said Jurgen Klopp, quoted by BolaSport.com from the Telegraph.

“I know our people well that they wouldn’t do it if there wasn’t a reason for it.”

“I’m not here long enough to understand why, it’s something historic and perhaps a question you (the media) can answer much better than I ever could.”

“Our fans, I know some fans from other clubs see it a little differently, are incredible people.”

“They’re very smart, past the lows, past the highs, suffered together.”

“They wouldn’t have done it if there wasn’t a reason, that’s what I know. Maybe we should ask this question.”
