The Binéfar Judo Club, the only Aragonese team that participates in the National Team League, is about to achieve what would be a historic success, promotion to the First Division of this official club championship.
The team made up of Manuel Alonso, Mousa Macalou, Sergio Garcia, Samuel Fernández, Vladic Parechyn, Eloy Alvarez and Bogdan Seceac, under the direction of coach Raul Clemente, he clearly prevailed this weekend over all his rivals in the second league matchday, which took place this Saturday in the Madrid town of Villaviciosa de Odón. The literanos beat teams of the highest stature such as Alicante, Sotillo, Pamplona Swimming and Fontenebro de Madrid.
In the absence of the last day, which will take place on June 25, the Aragonese They lead the table with twelve points and six wins from seven matches, with two ahead on their pursuers, a group of four clubs. On this last day, Binéfar faces Cerdanyola, San Sebastián and Móstoles.
Besides, Mama Coulibaly was part of the Ciempozuelos Judo women’s team, who also participates in the 2nd Division, achieving two wins, a draw and a single defeat in his debut, quite an achievement knowing that he is still a cadet.
And this weekend there will be two events that will once again place Binéfar in the center of the panorama of regional and national judo. On Saturday, May 14, it will be the turn of the I Spanish Cup for mixed teams Villa de Binéfar, in which mixed Junior-Senior category teams from all over Spain will meet, and on Sunday the Aragon Benjamín and Alevín Championship.
Meeting of the Altoaragón Association
On the other hand, also this weekend took place the second youngest judo meeting of the Altoaragón Judo Association. A total of 65 children from the different clubs of the association gathered in an activity of two days at the Huesca Judo Club facilities. In addition to the host club, this association is made up of the province’s Judo Barbastro, Judo Valle de Benasque, Tamarite Club de Judo, Atlético Sobrarbe, Judo Tardienta and Judo Binéfar clubs.
The judokas were able to improve in all aspects, both technically and emotionally. This meeting is part of the activities of the action plan of the association, whose main objective is the improvement of the young judokas in their interpersonal relationships, their socialization and of course lay the foundations for achieving the highest sports performance in the near future.
