BBC reveals first images of the decor of Elizabeth’s anniversary concert

The BBC released the first images of the setting for the BBC’s Platinum Jubilee Party on Friday, the concert being held on 4 June to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 70th anniversary in government. The impression shows where the stages at Buckingham Palace will be.

Just in front of the Buckingham Palace gate, a wide stage will be erected on June 4. A catwalk is then placed from the center of the stage towards the monument to Queen Victoria, which is directly in front of the palace. A podium will also be erected around that monument. This makes the monument several meters wider. According to the impression, there will in any case be a grand piano on that round podium.

At least George Ezra will make an appearance at the Platinum Jubilee Party on June 4. Other artists have not yet been announced. At Elizabeth’s previous anniversaries in 2002 and 2012, major concerts with world stars were also organised. In 2012, Elton John, Paul McCartney and Ed Sheeran, among others, took the podium. The concert can be followed live on the BBC.
