Basketball: Nba playoffs, Boston dominates Milwaukee in game-2 and draws the series

Boston, May 4 – (Adnkronos) – The Celtics win with a clear 109-86 game-2 of the Eastern Conference NBA semifinal against the Milwaukee Bucks and bring the series back in a draw. The second quarter with a 33-19 run was decisive, after Boston had already accumulated a double-digit advantage in the first 12 minutes of play. “We are in the playoffs, it works like this: you cannot let a defeat and a match dictate the trend of the entire series”, explains Jaylen Brown, author of 25 points in the first half alone from 9/10 to shooting and 5/5 from ‘arch. At the final siren there are 30 for him, the best scorer of a group that can also count on 29 points and 8 assists by Jayson Tatum (10/20 from the field) and 21 with 6/9 from long distance coming off the bench for Grant Williams ( with +22 plus / minus).

After the many blows suffered in race-1, Marcus Smart was forced to raise the white flag and not take part in the challenge: despite the absence of the best defender of the year, Boston managed to limit Giannis Antetokounmpo on another night not easy for him to shoot – 28 points (most of them arrived in the third quarter, when the match was compromised), but with 11/27 from the field. The Greek adds nine rebounds and seven assists in 38 minutes.

The reigning NBA champions do not find great contribution from the supporting cast: Jrue Holiday fails to repeat the great performance of the opening match and has to be satisfied with 19 points and 7 assists (he too struggling and trying 20 conclusions from the field ), Bobby Portis adds 13 with 8 rebounds and a flagrant Type 1 foul due to frustration – with Milwaukee struggling to find the bottom of the retina from long range in a 3/18 (16%) overall match.
