The adventure between JL Bourg and Laurent Legname is officially over, a decision which follows the dismissal of the latter at the end of April.
“Following the procedure initiated on April 29, JL Bourg informs that it has taken the decision to separate from Mr. Laurent Legname”, indeed announces the Bressan club this Wednesday morning, the day after the last match of the season.
Arrived last summer from Dijon, Legname had been suspended from his duties when he had two years left on his contract. He had been replaced for the last four matches by his assistant Gérald Simon (1v-3d).
Eliminated in the group stage in the Eurocup, the coach notably paid for the poor results of his team, which finally finished 11th in the French championship, far from the initial objectives.
“The club will now work on recruiting a new coach for next season,” the statement continued, while the workforce should be largely renewed in the off-season.
