Badminton becomes inclusive in the Plaza de las Monjas – Diario de Huelva

next May 10 the Andalusian Badminton Federation will organize the “Inclusive Badminton Day”. This event, sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía, the Hon. City hall of Huelva, the Hon. Deputation from Huelva, Atlantic Copper FoundationLaureus and La Caixa, together with the collaboration of Freshuelva (which will bring red fruits to all the participants of the day) it is a day in which our users of the Badminton Without Barriers project (based on the fact that all people with special abilities who want to start practicing our sport have a place, whatever the individual objectives of each of them may be) together with all those associations of people with disabilities or at risk of exclusion who also want participate, meet in one of the most emblematic places in Huelva to carry out activities scheduled for all attendees. In this way we can make social inclusion in sport even more visible.

On this special day we will be accompanied by a human team made up of 30 students from the Infant Education module of the IES La Orden and 40 students from the TSEAS of the Al Andalus center.

Finally, in reference to the users who are going to accompany us on May 10, it should be noted that we will have the presence of 71 users from Aspapronias (association dedicated to contributing to improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities), 15 users of Avadi (Association dedicated to the needs of people with intellectual disabilities or Down Syndrome), 7 users of Cristo Roto (association that pays attention to people with functional diversity who require extensive and generalized support), 10 users of Geese (association that works to improve the quality of life for people with ASD), 7 users of Tau Foundation (association whose main mission is to complement the capacity of people with intellectual disabilities), 18 users of Opening doors (association that offers accompaniment throughout the life cycle of people with intellectual disabilities), 12 users of Aspacheu (association that works for a constant improvement in the quality of life of people with cerebral palsy), 10 users of Aones (association for the educational, social and labor normalization of people with disabilities), 25 users of Aceem (non-profit organization specializing in care for refugees, migrants and people in a situation or risk of social exclusion), 4 users of Jem +18 (association that works with young migrant former guardians) and 2 users of Aspedio (association that aims to create a meeting place for people with disabilities and their integration into society).

The chosen place will be the Plaza de las Monjas. This Inclusive Badminton Day will start on the 10th of May at 10:00 and will continue until around 14:00.
