Aureilhan stands out – nrpyrenees.fr

Recently was held on the tatami of Mèze, in the department of Hérault, the critérium benjamins d’Occitanie. The Aureilhan Judo club made the trip with six judokas selected for this regional criterion.

Two medals, including one in gold and one in bronze, crowned the efforts of an ASCA training club led and directed by its president Patrick Lascoumettes, supported in the training and training of young people by seasoned ASCA belts in EMSA dojo in Aureilhan.

Beautiful and good performances from Aureilhan in Mèze, of which here is the summary. Emma Vasquez is gold.

In the – 48 kg category, which included sixteen fighters, Emma did not do any detail throughout the morning to climb to the top step of the podium. First in the qualifying pool, the young Aureilhanaise finished 1st with three fights won by ippon from the first minute of the fight.

Then, on the final board, Emma wins in the quarter-finals, in the semi-finals and in the final, always by ippon.

Emma demonstrated great technical mastery and demonstrated unfailing determination.

Achraf Marsali sur le podium

In – 66 kg, Achraf comes out 2nd in his pool after a lost fight and a won fight. On the final table he grabbed a hard-fought 3rd place pushed by a foolproof mentality.

In – 38kg, Mathys Devaire comes out 2nd in the group and qualifies for the final table where he will lose the fight without being fished out.

In – 36kg Elsa Fernandez, Louane Lascoumettes in – 40kg and Oihan Guilento in – 38kg do not come out of their pool.

These three young competitors from Aureilhan have shown fighting spirit, the experience of such an official competition will bear fruit for the next upcoming events.

A very good day of competition for the six young people from Aureilhan with two podiums, including one at the top of Occitanie.
