Astros and Marlins share the victories

On Saturday, May 7, the two games corresponding to the sixth day of the 2022 Spanish Baseball League were held at the Túria River baseball field, in which the Astros and Marlins shared the points at stake.

The two teams, which have distributed the national league and Copa del Rey titles in recent seasons, offered a great sporting spectaclewith two exciting matches from start to finish. Results: 3-1 for Marlins and 5-3 for stars.

The first started at 10:00 and was a duel of pitchers, in which both teams could only get 6 unstoppable hits. Astros hitters faced one of the Marlins’ star signings this season, Nicaraguan pitcher Ronald Medrano which was part of the MLB Saint Louis Cardinals organization until 2015 and since 2018 has been part of Club Dantos, one of the leading teams in the Nicaraguan professional league. For this reason, the Astros left 10 runners on base, for 4 of the Marlins.

At 1:30 p.m. the second game of the day began, in which the Astros, thanks to their fighting spirit, did not falter at any time and managed to win by 5 runs to 3, defeating the people from Tenerife who, until then, remained undefeated in the competition.

The next two dates for the Astros will be away from home: next week (May 14) he travels to Catalonia to face CBS Sant Boi and on May 21 he travels to Bilbao to do so against San Inazio. On May 29, the competition returns to the Valencian countryside with the visit of CB Miralbueno de Zaragoza.
