Aston Villa: Gerrard wants to keep Coutinho

Only substitute against Burnley (1-3 victory) on Saturday in the Premier League, Philippe Coutinho (29 years old, 15 games and 4 goals in the Premier League this season) remains in Steven Gerrard’s plans. The Aston Villa manager still wants to keep the attacking midfielder following his loan from FC Barcelona.

“We want him to stay here, that’s for sure, reassured the Englishman. We have 5 games to play in 15 days so Phil will have enough playing time to be satisfied. He understood the decision, he has a lot played. There’s no ego here.”
