Ajax U17 left no stone unturned on Saturday in the mini-Classic at Varkenoord. In the quarterfinals of the cup tournament, the Amsterdam talents won with no less than 0-5. Great stars on Ajax’s side were David Kalokoh and Mohamed Hamouchi with two goals each.

The game in Rotterdam started quietly, but after ten minutes the big opportunities started to come. First Feyenoord became dangerous from a free kick, where Tommy Setford had to save. A minute later, Kalokoh made an attempt from a dangerous position, but his shot curled over the goal.

Both teams had chances back and forth and Feyenoord even thought they had taken the lead after half an hour. Setford had already been beaten, but Dies Janse managed to get the ball off the line. After Kalokoh also failed to take advantage of his second good chance of the match, the glasses position seemed to remain on the board until halftime.

Three times, however, it turned out to be a charm for Kalokoh, because after a nice pass from Hamouchi, the attacker failed to face the Rotterdam goalie this time. Kalokoh pushed the ball under the keeper who had come out and put his team at 0-1 shortly before half time. With only a few minutes to half, after good chances for both goals, it could have been both 1-1 and 0-2, but a save by Setford and a shot on the post by Skye Vink on the other side kept the score at 0- 1.

After the break, Feyenoord would quickly be helped out of the illusion that there was still something to be gained against Ajax. Within ten minutes of the second company, Hamouchi and Kalokoh made it 0-2 and 0-3. The former did that on the advice of Rico Speksnijder, Kalokoh through a nice individual action, sending two opponents into the woods.

In between, Feyenoord also had to deal with an arbitration blow, because what was the apparent connection goal at the time, was rejected for offside. For example, after an hour of football, Ajax knew that a place in the semi-finals was a fact, and so football could be played in a more relaxed manner.

The foot was taken off the accelerator and Feyenoord took the initiative to look somewhat desperate for some hope. However, the Rotterdam team did not get much further than a shot from distance that Setford had no problem with. If Ajax then started again, it was also immediately dangerous, as was also apparent when Hamouchi was allowed to sign for his second goal of the match in the seventieth minute, after a good individual action.

Feyenoord kept trying and put Setford to work a few more times, but the goalkeeper was sharp and kept his goal clean. On the other hand, Ajax seemed to see the point in making the afternoon even more painful for the Rotterdam arch-rival. Shortly before time, Speksnijders and substitute Jermaine Rijssel both had a hundred percent chance of 0-5, but a Feyenoord defender managed to prevent that on the goal line.

In the end, however, it turned out to be nothing more than a stay of execution. A few minutes later, Rijssel was allowed to add his name to the scoreboard. After a clever individual action, the substitute came face to face with the goalkeeper. This time he was not deprived of the opportunity to score a goal and coolly put the 0-5 on the board, completing the humiliation for Feyenoord.
