600 budding judokas on the tatami mats of the Dojo Romanais

After several weekends during which the Roman judokas wore the colors of the city of Jacquemart, but also the French teams (Hugo Métifiot, 3rd in Croatia – Alexiane Hubert and Océane Vetter, both second in the Grand Prix de Paris de jujitsu), on Sunday May 8, gave way to young shoots.

No less than 600 children aged 4 to 10 and from 16 different clubs were welcomed throughout the day at the Aragon gymnasium by the entire team of the 26/07 committee and the Dojo Romanais. On the program, for each of the 7 waves: a warm-up, a time of judo practice and demonstrations led by several local champions and in particular Hugo Métifiot, member of the Drôme club, Paris 2024 objective. Individual photos, medals and autographs concluded this beautiful moment of sharing unanimously appreciated by all the judokas present and the parents who came in large numbers to the stands.

The month of May promises to be busy with many activities for the youngest, but also the French senior championship by 1st division teams (the national elite) for which the male and female teams of the Dojo Romanais are engaged among the most great French champions, including a certain Teddy Riner…
