[코리아투데이뉴스] Gimcheon City Hall Badminton Team showed off their skills by winning the women’s team and placing 3rd in the men’s singles at the “Federation President’s Badminton Championship”, which ended on the 3rd.

This event is even more valuable as it was achieved in a competition in Miryang, Gyeongnam, from April 26 to May 3, in which 47 teams and approximately 500 players participated in the university and general divisions for 8 days.

The women’s team event was unmatched. In the semifinals, they defeated Hwaseong City Hall 3-0, and in the final, they defeated MG Saemaeul Geumgo 3-1 with Jang Ye-na and Jeong Kyeong-eun-jo to take the top spot in the women’s team event.

Lee Yun-gyu, who participated in the men’s singles, advanced to the semifinals by winning 2-1 over Hwang Ki-hoon (Gwangmyeong City Hall) in the quarterfinals. He ran up and down with Young-Woong Ha (Samsung Life Insurance) in the semifinals, losing 0-2 after a close encounter, taking third place.

Gimcheon City Hall Badminton Team is playing a leading role in promoting ‘Gimcheon, the sports center,’ to the whole country, and good results are expected at the 2022 National Federation Badminton Championships to be held in Jeongeup on the 19th.
