Yuji Hino becomes ANA’s new Central Europe Director

ANA, the largest Japanese airline and a member of Star Alliance, has a new Central European boss: Yuji Hino is moving from Paris to Germany and will become the new boss in the airline’s Frankfurt office. He is thus leading the expansion of the flight offer after the Corona phase from Germany to the world’s largest metropolitan region of Tokyo.

Yuji Hino was born in Fukuoka in 1968 and also grew up in the south of the country. He studied economics at Tokyo’s renowned Keio University. He has worked at ANA since 1992 – initially in the areas of inflight services and airport services. Further stations in his career at the Japanese market leader were the planning department, the sales strategy department and revenue management. The now 53-year-old has been gaining extensive experience abroad since 2010 and worked in sales in Shanghai and Hangzhou in China for five years. From 2019 he headed the Paris office of ANA for three years before moving to Frankfurt on April 1, 2022. The rugby, golf, tennis and baseball enthusiast has a daughter and a son, both of whom have just started their professional lives in Tokyo, and also have plans for the future: when he retires, the passionate blackjack player wants to become a casino croupier .

Yuji Hino: “After a difficult Corona phase for everyone worldwide, for our industry in particular and also for our company, I am very much looking forward to being responsible for the reconstruction of our offer in one of our most important markets. I experienced the colleagues in Frankfurt as a very committed team before and during the crisis. I am now very proud to be at the helm of this team.”
