Volantista Natalia Sanz is promoted to the highest category

The Soriana volantista Natalia Sanz has been promoted to the badminton honor division, the highest category of this sport, with the club to which she belongs, the Badminton University of Valladolid.





The Madrid town of Torrejón de Ardoz closed the National First Division season this weekend with a historic milestone for Castilian-Leon badminton: the promotion of the University of Valladolid Badminton Club to the highest category of national badminton, the Honor Division.

Among the members of the Valladolid club is Soriana Natalia Sanz Postigo, on loan from the Valladolid Badminton Club. A story of love for a sport and of constant sacrifice to touch the sky with shuttlecock and racket in hand.

It was on the last day, in the absence of playing four confrontations when Natalia was finally able to debut in this new adventure.

The team’s goals were already exciting to say the least after having reached the last day in privileged positions.

The rivals were CB Guadalajara, Huesca La Magia, CB Granollers and CB Estella.

Throughout the two days of competition, the player from Soria played a match in each of the confrontations with a balance of two wins and two losses, contributing her first points as a loan player on the varsity team.

These points, together with those achieved by the entire team, made CB UVa win three of the four confrontations, finishing in a spectacular second position. Direct place for the highest category of national badminton, Division of Honor.

Finally, as the final touch to a great sporting moment, both Natalia and her sister Ana Sanz, will participate in their first Absolute Spanish Championship next weekend on May 6, 7 and 8 in Madrid.

Both players will do it forming a pair in the women’s doubles and each one in its corresponding individual. Great level of the sisters to be able to participate in the most important national event of the season.
