A good result for Judo Ju Jitus Novara. On Saturday 9 April the “Open International Ju Jitsu” took place at the Catania ice rink, which with the race on Sunday 10 (reserved exclusively for ne waza), recorded the presence of 670 competitors from 16 different countries. On Saturday there were over 300 competitors in the Fighting system specialties (integral combat), and about seventy in the exhibition competitions (duo system and duo show). Sunday, on the other hand, was reserved exclusively for ground wrestling (ne waza), and registered about 300 participating athletes.
Two representatives in the “full fight” of Judo Ju Jitsu Novara, to note the absence of the captain Giuseppe Di Chio, absolute champion of Italy in office and winner of 6 Italian titles (two absolute and 4 class), which is unfortunately he had to follow the race in streaming due to injury.
Eleonora Coppa, in the senior class kg-63, played in a final at the “fulmicotone”; the opponent from Brindisi brought our representative at a clear disadvantage, but Eleonora without losing heart, with good and well-balanced techniques she managed to overturn the match and win before the limit. Nothing to do instead for the cadet Marco Saldi, who unlucky in the draws had to settle for eleventh position, a real shame because he has great potential.
