Video, Faustino Asprilla’s farewell to his friend Freddy Rincón, who died in an accident | Colombia selection

Faustino Asprilla and Freddy Rincon They are not the brothers who were born, but those who became throughout a life full of happy and sad days, deeds and disappointments in a Colombian National Team that saw them both shine.

They were pure joy, the honesty of one who is politically incorrect, the joy of knowing that life is as short as the fatal accident that blinded Rincón’s life has let them know in the last few hours.

Freddy died of the serious injuries he suffered in a violent crash in his car, at dawn last Monday. And Faustino, from that moment on, did not stop deluding himself with a miracle that did not come.

Now that the death has been confirmed, Asprilla has paid one last tribute to his soulmate in his Law, dancing salsa and drinking, both of them happy, innocent of everything that would come.

This was the compilation of salsa and smiles with which ‘el Tino’ tells him: “What loneliness I have in my heart, deep pain and a lot of sadness. Pana, you leave a big void for your ’94 team, we are going to miss you “.

“Morocho, today you join the great team of those who have left us to play in heaven. All the shared moments remained in my mind,” concludes Asprilla in a heartfelt message, very much in his style.

Rincón and ‘el Tino’ were part of the golden generation of Colombian soccer players who led the national team to three senior World Cups, with the round of 16 as the best result.
