Tomorrow the Pan American and Oceania Judo Championship begins Lima 2022

The Pan American and Oceania Cadet, Junior and Senior Judo Championships Lima 2022 will begin this Saturday 09 at the VIDENA High Performance Center with the presence of approximately 700 judokas from 25 countries.

In relation to this, our athletes have been preparing intensely to make the house respected and obtain the greatest number of medals against athletes who have experience in the Olympic Games and world championships. The Oceania Championship will be held for the first time in America – precisely in Peru – because the countries of this continent could not do this tournament last year, which adds points in the ranking for the next international events.

“We are excited for the start of this Pan American that we share with the continent of Oceania and for our judo team in its 3 categories. We have worked on the organization of this important event with a spectacular team so that the athletes of America and Oceania. All the conditions are in place for the competitions to begin,” said the president of the Peruvian Judo Sports Federation, María Martínez.

This contest -which has the support of the Peruvian Sports Institute- will begin on Saturday, April 9 with the cadet competitions from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and the finals from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The following day the Junior Tournament will have the same schedules and then on April 11 the Junior Mixed Teams Tournament, also in the morning and afternoon.

On April 12 and 13, the Training Camp and Referee Seminar will be held, the same ones that will be selected for the next World Cups and Olympic Games in Judo competitions.

Then on April 15 we will have the first day of competitions in the Senior category, the next day the same Senior competitions to finish on the 17th with Senior in Mixed Teams.
