Golfer Tiger Woods played a practice round on Thursday at Southern Hills Golf Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where the PGA Championship, the second major tournament of the season, will be held.
This was indicated, with supporting photos, by several sources, including the local radio station Mix96.5. Some have also spotted the plane bringing the former world number 1 to the airport of the municipality.
Many observers therefore expect to see the “Tiger” take part in the event scheduled for May 19-22. Woods also took the honors of this competition in Tulsa in 2007.
A few days ago, the American completed the required documents in order to obtain an exemption allowing him to participate in the tournament; however, he has yet to confirm his attendance as of this writing.
In his first official appearance on the PGA Tour since his serious road accident which caused injuries to his right leg in February 2021, Woods finished 47th at the Masters Tournament earlier in April thanks to a cumulative 301, 13 shots over par.
In addition, the famous player has already expressed his intention to play in the British Open and the United States Open, the two other majors of the campaign.
